The Seven Bowls of Wrath
In this episode of The Living Logos, we conclude our study of Revelation’s 21 Tribulation judgments by examining the Seven Bowls of Wrath in Revelation 15–16. Building on the seals and trumpets, these final judgments represent the completion of God’s wrath against a rebellious world that continually refuses to repent. We explore the heavenly scene surrounding the bowls, the song of Moses and the Lamb, the connection between these judgments and the Exodus plagues, and the significance of God’s holiness and justice. Each bowl judgment is examined in detail—from painful sores and seas turned to blood, to scorching heat, supernatural darkness, the drying of the Euphrates, and the gathering of the nations for Armageddon. Along the way, we trace key Old Testament parallels, uncover the theological meaning behind God’s judgments, and see how Revelation ultimately reveals both the certainty of divine justice and the triumph of Christ over evil.
